The Burgwies tram depot
You can't really miss it, the Burgwies tram depot. But you can't necessarily tell how much history there is in and behind the building.
The Burgwies tram depot
Built in 1893 by architect Theodor Keller, the Burgwies depot is the oldest surviving tram depot in the city of Zurich and is part of the industrial and commercial buildings on the Wildbach that are worthy of protection and included in the municipal inventory of listed buildings. It is the prototype of a type of building - 14 similar depots were built up until the 1930s and is a well-preserved historicist building.
