The Zurich Tram Museum Association maintains an archive of documents relating to public transport in the greater Zurich area.
The collection is a valuable source for the history of urban mobility and everyday life and work in the city of Zurich. Files, letters, books, photographs, plans and magazines bear witness to technical achievements and impressive pioneering work by Swiss craftsmen and mechanical engineers.
The administration and maintenance of our extensive collection of photos, books and magazines is carried out by members of the association on a voluntary basis.
The archive of the Zurich Tram Museum Association is not located in the Burgwies Tram Museum.
Our archive is a contact point for all questions of a historical nature relating to Zurich's public transport system. We are happy to deal with enquiries from private individuals, institutions, media professionals and students.
